What’s Actually Included in Exotic Car Rental Insurance?

Full-coverage policy or supplemental protection — what each covers, what it costs, and how to confirm it before you book.

Two paths, not one

Every rental needs either your own full-coverage auto policy extended to cover the rental, or our supplemental protection arranged at booking. Both are valid — which one makes sense depends on what's already in your policy.

Using your own policy

Most personal auto policies do technically extend to rental cars, but the coverage limit usually doesn't. A policy that comfortably covers a $40,000 personal vehicle may cap out well under the value of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan or a Ferrari 488 Spider. Before relying on your own policy, check the actual dollar limit with your insurer — not just whether rentals are "covered," but covered up to how much.

Supplemental coverage

If your policy doesn't reach far enough, or you'd rather not find out mid-rental, supplemental coverage is arranged before the keys leave our hands. It's priced into the booking, not an upsell sprung on you at pickup — the number you're quoted is the number you pay.

What's confirmed before you drive

Deposit amount, coverage type, and daily mileage allowance are all set at booking, matched to the specific vehicle — a $250/day Audi S5 and a $2,000/day Huracán STO don't carry the same deposit or the same mileage terms. Ask for the specifics on your car before you commit, not after.
